A Few Poems By Khosrow:

(Khosrow’s own translations from his original Persian Poems)
“ Hymn of Eternal Gratitude “
Praise be to the Pure Creator, for all He grants and denies,
His grace illuminates the heart, where sacred devotion lies.
The solver of all hardships is the living Lord of Might,
In every fleeting moment, he is our refuge and light.
When His boundless bounty flows, the soul fills up with hope,
When His trials test our strength, His patience helps us cope.
Nature yields to His decree, through tender grace or strain,
A hidden wisdom dwells within each pleasure and each pain.
Whether life meets your desire, or turns to grief and care,
Offer praise to Him alone, for His decree is fair.
Within each breath you draw, a double blessing resides,
With every glance you cast, His endless bounty guides.
Look past the grief and sorrow, for trials refine the soul,
Behold His constant mercy, that keeps the spirit whole.
Blessed is the grateful heart, that praises Him with might,
This realm of humble service, outshines all earthly light.
Submit to patient endurance, rest in His sacred choice,
For human life is but a spark, passing without a voice.
In this abode of trials, let remembrance be your art,
For the quiet cry of “O Lord” brings peace to every heart.
Grieve not over pain and sorrow, for goodness will prevail,
Khosrow, live in constant thanks, where holy truths unveil.

“ The Triad of Light “

Long before the world forgot its golden dawn, the sages of ancient Persia looked at
the cosmos and discovered a truth that outlives empires: that the universe is a grand
canvas of light and shadow, and humanity’s soul purpose is to champion the dawn.
This eternal philosophy was anchored not in complex dogmas, but in three luminous pillars:
Good Thoughts   Good Words   Good Deeds
To walk this path is to transform the mind into a sanctuary of purity, where malice can take
root. From this wellspring of noble thought, speech flows like living water, a sacred harmony
that shatters the demons of ignorance and heals the fractures of human hearts. Yet, thought
and speech remain unfulfilled until they are forged into action. It is through compassion
and justice, that human being truly touches the divine and repairs the broken world:
Before my eyes, Iran’s ancient wisdom shines so bright,
From the Divine Glory, my soul is filled with sacred light.
Our noble land is wisdom’s cradle, both of truth and grace,
The path of these great sages lights the spring of human race.
The first foundation of this sacred path is Goodly Thought,
By this bright moon, a world of darkest shadows is unsaught.
Whoever cleanses heart and mind from malice and deceit,
Shall see their soul break through the webs of darkness and defeat.
Once your pure heart becomes a mirror, speak with Goodly Word,
For by this radiant voice, the chords of human souls are stirred.
The demons of deep ignorance flee when speech is made divine,
The cosmic feast shall through the words of noble speakers shine.
Your steps stand firm upon the earth through every Goodly Deed,
The final peak of mortal growth is found in human deed.
Compassion, justice, and the truth became this wisdom’s core,
Our pride in this untainted, shining faith lives evermore.
O Khosrow, from this human grace and path so pure and bright,
Your name within the scroll of purity shall forever shine in light.

“ The Importance of Democracy “

The world without the rule of law no secure, enduring shore,
A house that lacks the light of justice, shatters to its very core.
Democracy shines like the lamp to guide the nations through the night,
Restoring to the weary earth its hope, its freedom, and its light.
A state stands firm and resolute, when built upon the people’s voice,
The tyrant’s harsh and brutal reign collapses at the public choice.
The rights and dignity of man awaken in this noble faith,
Protecting every human soul from tyranny and bitter death.
Before the law, the king and beggar stand as equals, hand in hand,
No crown or lineage grants a man the right to lord it o’er the land.
Through trusted ballots, sealed and cast, the nation shapes its destiny,
No longer ruled by bloody spears, nor bound by chains of cruelty.
The pen is free, the mind unchained, the spirit rises from its bonds,
Within this garden of soul, the bird of liberty responds.
When severed powers stand aligned to bar the path of cruel men,
The wicked courts of tyranny can never rise to strike again.
With open speech and honest critique, leaders learn to right their wrong,
For speaking truth to power here makes justice resonant and strong.
Sing out O Khosrow, songs of peace and human rights from hour to hour,
For only by the people’s will can freedom hold its rightful power.

“ A Better Tomorrow “

Alas! The world is filled with grief and pain,
And heavy hearts are crying out in vain.
Where is the truth, the kindness we once knew?
As selfish shadows hide the morning dew.
The earth is wounded by the tracks of war,
While peace and justice vanish from the shore.
So many voices whisper in the dark,
And cold oppression leaves a bitter mark.
No gentle shelter shields the children’s cries,
No comfort wipes the tears from weeping eyes.
Blinded by greed, humanity has strayed,
Trapped in the chains of hatred we have made.
Beneath the heavy clouds of sorrow’s night,
The good and brave are fading out of sight!
Yet rise, kind hearts! Let courage lead the way,
The sun is waking for a brand-new day.
Stand up with grace and let your spirit soar,
The time has come to open freedom’s door.
For if all the nations join their hands as one,
The reign of cruelty will be undone!
Instead of guns and tears of sad despair,
The flowers of peace will blossom everywhere.
With simple love and helping hands combined,
The walls of anger will be left behind.
Rejoice, Khosrow, of the morning clear and bright,
When all the world is safe within the light.

“ A Single Rose “

A slender rose with longing wild and deep,
Grows restless for thy sight, and starts from sleep;
And when upon thy form it sets its eyes,
It stands entranced beneath the silent skies.
This blossom thrives by memory sweet possessed;
With sudden surges of vibrant life is blessed;
Yet, when it meets the splendor of thy face,
It fades away in shame of its own grace.
When through its soul thy hair’s soft breezes blow,
Before thy steps its fleeting moments flow;
With every breath, in patient awe resigned,
It fades away, to sacred stillness blind.
Its tender petals on the earth are spread,
A fragrant carpet where thy feet may tread;
For when its scent is mingled with thine own,
A pure celestial mystery is known.
Thus, Khosrow sings, and strews the path with flowers,
To greet thy presence in these passing hours;
For where thy love and longing meet at last,
A radiant garden wakes, all shadows past.

“ A World Without Oxygen! “

Imagining a world without oxygen (the essence of life) is deeply shocking, yet
It helps us truly grasp its importance. If this vital element did not exist in the
Earth’s atmosphere, life would be destroyed in the very first seconds, and
The Earth would turn into a silent, lifeless, and coral-like sphere:
Reason once spoke of a secret so deep,
If breath on this Earth should eternally sleep;
If breath should depart from the heavens away;
To trap all the life of the world in decay;
The world would grow dark from a harvest undone,
No heart would remain in the chest of anyone.
No fire would ever be sparked in this land,
No light in the woods, nor the bamboo strand.
The Earth would grow cold like a stone of deep black,
No plant would grow out of this dirt on its track.
If “oxygen” – this pure, breath-giving grace,
Should absent itself from the soil for a space,
No river would flow from the mountain’s high crest,
No bird in the springtime would sing from its nest.
From bodies, the bird of the soul flies in haste,
Each fountain and streamlet turns dry and a waste.
The wind may roar loudly, but what is the gain?
Without it, no place could exist on this plain.
If air should be emptied of oxygen’s grace,
The world would be emptied of spirit race.
The bodies of men would turn wholly to clay,
The wheels of the heavens would fail and decay.
The life that we hold is dependent on breath,
Which stays like a friend to protect us from death.
Give thanks to that God who has granted this air,
So, we may rise up the grief of despair!

“ Butterfly, The Heavenly Messenger “

The butterfly, is not merely a creature of earthly gardens, but a silent mystic weaving
Between the physical world and the eternal realm. With wings spun from light and dreams,
It stands as a living symbol of the soul’s liberation, a delicate breath of paradise dancing
Upon the wind. To behold a butterfly, is to witness a sacred whisper made visible.
Traveling from the world beyond, it arrives as a gentle messenger from our departed
Loved ones, carrying their undying affection, warmth, and peace.
Its soft, rhythmic flight serves as a tender solace to the grieving heart, reminding us
That love transcends the veil of mortality, and that those we cherish are never
Truly gone, they simply return to us on wings of grace.
With open wings, it descends from the highest heaven,
A soul’s messenger, stepping softly upon the earth.
Pure love took the form of this gentle butterfly,
To show how a living, vibrant heart returns.
The fragrant breath of departed loved one lives within it,
As it arrives, scattering musk and heavenly scents.
Its wings are a mirror reflecting the world beyond,
A radiant light streaming from paradise and the eternal realm.
It has come to rest softly and bring solace to your heart;
Behold whose soul approaches on these jewel-like wings!
A herald of the pure spirit, a messenger of light,
Softly and gently enters this sorrowful world;
To wash away the dust of longing and grief from your heart,
A blessing from the divine, most truly arrives.
Hear, O Khosrow, the whisper of its delicate wings:
A message from the Chosen Beloved is drawing near!

“ The Clumsy First Kiss! “

The first kiss, what a funny story it can turn out to be.
Between the trembling, fear, and heart palpitations,
funny things happen!
My soul was locked upon her lips so sweet,
A sudden tremor shook my hands and feet.
I leaned to steal a kiss, my heart ablaze,
But teeth met teeth in a chaotic daze!
Upon my nose, my spectacles did sway,
Her kiss, a blow that knocked the frames awry.
Our noses clashed, entangled in a fight,
Like pistols firing in the quiet night!
I tried to save the day, to kiss once more,
But my poor love was shaken to the core.
The laughter came, my dignity was blown,
And my unskilled beloved closed lips of her own!!
